Easy Maqui Berry Powder Post-Workout Recovery Smoothies

Maqui berry oozes a soft and delicate sweetness that is padded by a sharp tart taste. The contrast between sweet and tart makes Maqui berry powder the missing ingredient in your post-workout recovery smoothies. Whether you need the smoothie early in the morning, middle of the day, or late in the evening (after work), the antioxidant rich superfruit offers the perfect nutrients for any time of the day. Today we’ll walk you through a handful of smoothies that you can keep in your fitness arsenal and rotate between them depending on what you are looking for.

Maqui Berry Powder Spinach Smoothie

Who said spinach smoothies have to be green? If you’re a diehard green smoothie drinker, then you most likely alternate between a number of leafy greens including spinach. The iron dense leafy green is great for blending directly into a smoothie or cutting up in a salad or even using as a garnish for your favorite dinner meal. While spinach has its fair share of nutrients that make it irresistible, the taste of the leafy vegetable can be entirely too strong. This is where maqui berry powder comes in! Not only does the superberry up the nutrient count in your daily smoothies but it adds a nice fruity blend to your recipe. Try the Maqui Berry Spinach smoothie and let us known what you think.

Directions: Blend all of the ingredients together at medium speed.

Makes enough for one. Top the smoothie withgoji berries and cacao nibs to add a layer of crunch as well as vitamin A and iron

Coconut + Maqui Berry Smoothie

As smoothie lovers, we’ve seen our fair share of coconut smoothies. It’s difficult to go wrong when coconut is one of the main ingredients. The tropical fruit adds a smooth and relaxing taste to any beverage. Each sip makes it harder to put down the smoothie mix. Paired with coconut, maqui berry powder takes the tropical smoothie concept to a whole new level. The sweet notes in maqui berry powder seamlessly play off the smooth textures in found in coconut.

Recipe:

  • ¼ cup strawberries
  • ¼ cup raspberries
  • 2 tbs Maqui Berry Powder
  • 2 cup coconut milk (substitute with water)
  • 2 tbs your choice sweetener

Directions: Blend all of the ingredients together at medium speed.

Makes enough for two. Sweeten your smoothie with our favorite superfood sweeteners; lucuma and coconut sugar.

Berry Madness Smoothie

We’ve already played around with loading berries on top of berries in our triple berry smoothie. In that recipe the main ingredient was acai. However, we wanted to create a berry smoothie that highlights the perfect balance between sweet and tart. With the addition of Maqui berry powder, we are finally able to do this with ease.

Recipe:

  • 1/4 cup Kale or Spinach
  • ¼ blueberries
  • ¼ strawberries
  • ¼ blackberries
  • 1 tbs Maqui Berry Powder
  • 1 cup almond milk (substitute with water)

Directions: Blend all of the ingredients together at medium speed.

Makes enough for one. Top the smoothie with chia, buckwheat, and flax seeds from our trilogy seed mix.
