As fall rolls around the corner and comes into full swing, you’ll quickly see pumpkin lattes, pies, and other pumpkin inspired treats begin to populate the store shelves. While many of these foods focus on delivering the warm and nutty pumpkin taste, we miss the awesome key nutrients found in pumpkin seeds. Thanks to pumpkin seed protein powder, we’ve found a few ways to deliver both the warm holiday taste of pumpkins as well as the nutrient rich content. Pumpkin seeds are some of the first things to go when it’s time to clean out the pumpkin. Packed with iron, protein, and vitamin K, pumpkin seeds are one of the most nutrient dense parts of the entire pumpkin. At first glance, pumpkin seeds appear white but when hauled they give off a creamy greenish color. When you open your pumpkin seed protein powder tin you are greeted by a soft greenish hue that is not entirely reminiscent of pumpkins. However, the smooth and earthy scent that gently hits you afterwards serves as the foundation for a delicious and nutritious fall drink.
